May 22, 2017
Well, here we are toward the end of May and the move I’ve been dreading is almost here. It’s so weird to work to erase all signs of living in a home for the past three years. The house we came to straight from our honeymoon, the house we celebrated our first two anniversaries in, the house we brought our firstborn home to…
Now I’m getting all sappy.
After our daughter, Ella, was born, I felt the Lord stirring something in me. Maybe it was the way I saw how creative He is when He allowed me to bring life into this world, but my creative side was itching to get out somehow. I prayed for weeks that He would show me what He was calling me to do. I even remember having a long conversation with my sister about it.
I’ve always been drawn to photography. I love the thought of capturing moments today for grandchildren to see years down the road. One day I felt the Lord prompting me to pick up my camera. And I haven’t been able to put it down since.
I have been so overwhelmed with the support I’ve gotten since starting my business. I am so thankful for my friends and family who have cheered me on and even some who have been on the other side of my camera so I could practice. Referrals have been such a blessing and I’ve enjoyed making new friends as the outcome.
We are moving to Florida in a couple of weeks but I am available to travel and would still love the opportunity to capture moments for you. And if anyone has connections in Florida, I would appreciate any referrals!
But for now, I’m going to enjoy the last couple of weeks in my home and reflect on some of my favorite sessions.
Enjoy!
I love taking pictures of couples. I’m a romantic at heart.
The Falls Family was so great to work with. My daughter and I became fast friends with Grace and her son, Silas.
Mommy and Me sessions are some of my favorite memories to capture. Moms are usually the ones behind the cameras but one day our babies are going to want to see pictures of us with them.
It’s so sweet to capture parents waiting on their babies.
& then there are the babies out of their mammas’ bellies.
I most recently got to document a rehearsal/rehearsal dinner and caught the wedding bug. We’ll see what the future holds!
I have loved every session I’ve had the privilege of capturing and can’t wait to capture more.
Here’s to New Beginnings!
