You were just asked to be a bridesmaid in your friend’s wedding and you’re excited but also a little nervous. Maybe you’ve been in a wedding before but you weren’t sure what your role really was. Or maybe this is your very first one!
Well I want to help you out. The most important thing to remember is that this day is not about you. This shouldn’t have to be said, but you’d be surprised. Don’t be that girl. If you agree to be a bridesmaid, remember that this is her day and you should love on her and treat her well.
Now that we’re past the obvious, here are 5 Important Tasks for Bridesmaids on the Wedding Day!
Carry the train so it won’t pick up things like dirt and leaves.
And make sure to fish out those pesky bugs that get caught in it!
Marriage is very serious and this is one of the biggest days of her life. Pray over her before the ceremony. Pray that the Lord will bless her marriage and pray for her future. You’re one of the most important people in her life and she will feel so comforted and loved by this.
Chances are she’s a bundle of nerves and needs to loosen up a little. Get her laughing with your great jokes and inside stories!
It can be scary when all eyes are looking at you. But remember that you are excited for your friend, so make sure you don’t look like you’re attending a funeral.
Need I say more?
So get excited! You are one of the most important people in your friend’s life and she’s asked you to stand beside her on her wedding day! That’s a big deal.
This is such a great opportunity to let your friend know you love her and that you’re excited to celebrate this next chapter of her life with her. She’ll feel so special and remember this day for the rest of her life.
